FPDES students win BIG at the state fair!
Congratulations to the following students...Tally Shultz-Mo, Mia Nordstrom, Gwyn Feury, Katelyn Buggs, Jocelyn Garcia-Ortiz, and Adina Sinigur! Their art work was on display October 13-23rd at the NC State Fairgrounds in the Kerr Scott Building. The students received first place out of all elementary schools in the state of North Carolina. The art work was inspired by the Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky and were 3-dimensional images of non-objective abstract amphibians. They were created with colored paper chalk and white tempera paint.
Congratulations also to our talented art teacher Mrs. Jennifer Sherman who also won with a drawing created in memory of her late grandmother and dog Sparky, who passed away 2 years ago. It was entitled.."Missing You".
